Why do you think your character would work in this setting? The offer from Eli was accepted because Jackie didn't want to die there in the snow. He'll be a bit bewildered at first at the new setting, but a chance to live is worth it.

How do you plan to expand their CR? Jack isn't exactly a social butterfly but the young man is laid back and tends to go with the flow. Meeting people will come from his attempts to sort out everything he's gotten himself into, and also in his efforts to find fellow musicians.

What will your character do for work? Brothel Bartender

Inventory: Pack with clothing/toiletries, a few cartons of cigarettes, a bottle of whiskey, his guitar and case, and a small baggie with weed.

The bar was a little more packed that even Jack had expected for a late Monday night. Granted the drink specials helped a bit with filling the place up, but the music and hot waitresses didn't hurt either. Still as lively a the saloon was, there was one guy who didn't seem to be very amused. Bartending came naturally to Jackie, since pouring drinks wasn't something too challenging. However handling the books and paperwork that came with running a bar...now that was a whole different thing. Oh Jack had been thrilled when he heard the news from the lawyer, though having been left the place only lessened the pain of losing a good friend a little. Still despite the constant pressure to keep the place afloat he typically wasn't in such a sour mood. Yet the more Jack poured over the monthly receipts the more his frown deepened. At last the young man just had enough, and with a sigh he closed up the ledger and flagged down the nearest waitress.

"Fuck it. Can ya take this shit back to my office and have one of the girls just bring me a bottle of the good shit. Oh and my smoke too, please. Thanks, I think I left em behind the bar again." Jack flashed the woman a small little smile, trying and failing to remember her name as the waitress offered a nod before heading away. He knew he'd have to remember their names one day, but honestly, aside from Sara and the other bartender Mike, well the wait staff had a pretty high turn over rate. To be fair the tips were good, and Jack made sure that the girls were treated well by the patrons. He never did go in for that grabby hand shit. Still working in a punk rock bar was tough on even the peppiest waitress. Waiting for his bottle of whiskey and smokes Jack gestured to another waitress who was by the speak system. With the roll of her eyes and a chuckle she nodded back to the owner before pausing to select the song Jack always wanted to hear when shit wasn't going well. At last his cigarettes, whiskey and a glass were dropped off at the back table, and with a grin Jackie began to pour a shot as The Clash's I Fought the Law began to play in the background.

"Fuck yeah."

Even as his song drew to a close and another one began Jack was already feeling better. Of course two or three shots of the good stuff also may have helped a little, but he credited the music more then anything else. Hell the music was what drew him to the place a few years ago; back when he was living on the streets and just looking to try and get whatever crap job he could so he could buy some food. Big Steve had been a mountain of a man, beard and biker garb included. Yet as tough as the old owner was, he had a soft spot for the underdogs and gave Jack a shot at a real job. It was an opportunity that Jackie never took for granted. The young man worked his ass off; starting out as a grunt who bussed and washed the dishes. But with some time he worked his way the ranks until Steve made him head bartender, and even rented out the loft above the bar to Jack.

It sucked losing the big guy, but finding out that Steve had trusted the bar to Jackie...well it was enough to rekindle the desire to not let the old man down. Oh it sucked trying to handle paperwork and to manage everything, but Jack found a way. Even in between working the bar and going to night school to finish off his GED. As stretched as his schedule was at times though, he still knew when to just relax. So as another favorite song of his kicked on Jackie lit up a cigarette and motioned for the waitress near the bar to crank up the music. Halfway through AC/DC's Thunderstruck his gaze drifted over to the young woman who looked out of place. Sure they always had a good sized group of people whenever they had specials going, but this one didn't really seem like the type to frequent a dive bar...much less look like one old enough to drink. Jack had no doubt that the bouncers probably stamped her with the 'No Drinkage' hand mark, but he trusted his bartenders too. So since it was clear that she probably wasn't here to drink he actually found himself wondering just what it was that the young woman wanted. Wonder or not Jack never bothered getting out of his seat. Instead he simply watched from the back table, as he enjoyed the music and took another draw from his cigarette. After all if anyone needed to speak with the owner, well one of his staff would point him out.
